When to go

Cuba has a warm and tropical climate with two distinct seasons. The best time to travel is from December to May when you will have dry and sunny days with temperatures between 22 – 28°C.  The rainy season is from June to October when it can be hot and humid although it is worth remembering that during the wet season the rain tends to come in a short shower in the afternoon and you will still have plenty of sunshine during the rest of the day!  The hurricane season runs from August until middle of October but this can vary from year to year throughout the Caribbean region.

Cuba offers a wide range of different accommodation. You will find a good range of hotels from the large international chains to smaller locally-owned hotels. You can also find smaller traditional hotels in the countryside and colonial style hotels in the cities.

Where to go next

We recommend combining Cuba with Mexico and Central America with good connections between Cuba and Mexico and direct flights to Cancun in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
